Healthcare Network , a progressive, academic health system in central New York and major teaching affiliate of Columbia University, is seeking Ophthalmologist - Surgical Retina Specialist to join our staff.

The organization includes five corporately affiliated hospitals, as well as skilled nursing facilities, community and school- based health centers, and health partners in related fields.
The retina surgeon would be based in NY with very limited outreach responsibilities. This is vibrant and sophisticated upstate community set in a beautiful lake front village affording four seasons of cultural and outdoor activity. An unparalleled and well-appointed community sport center and excellent public school system.
Job Description & Responsibilities
Join an established group of 6 Ophthalmologists and 3 Optometrists. A brand-new eye clinic is being constructed and is expected to open in 2025.The candidate will be taking over current specialist surgical practiceCurrently there are specialists in surgical and medical retina, cornea, pediatrics and glaucomaThe support staff is well trained and experienced in both the clinic and operating roomOn call is every 6th weekend and rarely busyOpportunities exist for both research and teaching if interestedReferral patterns to tertiary care ophthalmologists are well establishedSalary Range: $349,547 - $594,736 plus performance based compensation. This compensation range represents Healthcare's good faith belief of the compensation range at the time of this posting or advertisement. Salary is based on a variety of factors, including, but not limited to, qualifications, experience, education, licenses, specialty, training, and fair market evaluation based on industry standardsSign-on Bonus up to $100,000Group Employed Model
