VDC/ BIM CONCRETE ENGINEERPOSITION SUMMARYOkland is looking for a VDC Concrete Engineer to assist the VDC Concrete team with Concrete modeling, coordination, and day to day VDC Self Perform Concrete responsibilities. The ideal candidate has some experience and training in various software programs including Revit and Navisworks or similar.Experience working for a Concrete Contractor or Structural Engineer is considered a huge advantage. We provide empowerment and influence to all our team members.A commitment to delivering the most remarkable experience for all stakeholdersESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESAssist in producing Lift Drawings for Okland Seld Perform Concrete. Including creating 2D and 3D Iso Details for lift drawing production.Attend weekly coordination meetings and work with self-perform and project services team to coordinate concrete.Assist in sequencing of concrete utilizing Revit as needed.Work with Preconstruction group to create schedules for QTY Takeoff as requested.Ability to help MEPF/Project Services VDC Team with additional tasks when needed.Ability or willingness to learn Survey Techniques and support Okland Survey team as needed.Performs other duties and responsibilities as assigned.ADDITIONAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESParticipate in the research and development of new technologies.Create and process point cloud scans.EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTSBachelor's degree in construction management, Architecture, Structural Engineering or similar is preferred. Experience detailing in BIM supplemented.Experience in the commercial construction industry and with BIM software is preferred.KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES REQUIREMENTSDemonstrated technical knowledge of design and/or construction processes.Demonstrated strong 2D and 3D graphic skills.Experience working with building information models on design and/or construction projectsWorking knowledge of BIM software including Autodesk Revit, Autodesk Navisworks, ACC/BIM 360 Docs, etc.Ability to learn quickly and willingness to adapt as circumstances change.Ability to pay attention to small detail.Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of employees and owners, architects, and subcontractors.Ability to read and understand information found in construction documents, plans, and specifications.
