Position Title : Controller
Location : San Diego, CA
Job Type : Full-Time
Salary : $110,000 - $150,000 (commensurate with experience)
Job Summary :
The Controller will lead the accounting department, ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting, while maintaining robust internal controls. This role covers corporate accounting, regulatory compliance, budgeting, and forecasting. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership skills and a deep understanding of accounting principles and practices.
Key Responsibilities :
Oversee the preparation of financial statements in compliance with
GAAP .
Provide accurate financial reports and analysis to senior management.
Manage general ledger accuracy and ensure efficient month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes.
Lead budgeting, forecasting, and financial performance monitoring.
Develop and enhance internal controls and accounting procedures.
Qualifications :
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field ( CPA or MBA preferred ).
7+ years of progressive accounting experience, including leadership roles.
Strong knowledge of
GAAP
and financial reporting standards.
Proficiency in accounting software and
Microsoft Office .
Excellent leadership, analytical, and communication skills.
