The CV Interventional Technologist is responsible for scrub assist, circulating, monitoring and operation of radiologic equipment in the Cath/Interventional Lab setting. Adheres to National Patient Safety Goals as appropriate based on the level of patient contact this position requires. INTEGRIS Health is an Equal Opportunity/Affirmative Action Employer.

Responsibilities

The CV Interventional Technologist responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:Performs all technical duties including: scrub assist, monitoring and operation of radiologic equipment, and radiation safety.Monitors and documents patient data during procedures.Responsible for quality control, documentation, record keeping, charges, radiation safety, and practicing universal precautions.Maintains and operates radiology equipment.Communicates and cooperates effectively and professionally with team members and patients.Reports to the Heart Cath Lab Director Must be able to speak, read and write English neatly and legibly.

Requires constant use of good body mechanics. Required to stand most of the day. Employee must lift/carry/push 20 to 40 lbs. occasionally. Must be able to assist patients of various weights frequently. Must be able to work in a darkened room, be able to see and distinguish colors. Must wear a lead apron for up to 2 hours at a time. This position may have additional or varied physical demand and/or respiratory fit test requirements. Qualifications

Current certification by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists.Current CPR certification required within 90 days of hire. ACLS certification within 90 days of hire (cath lab only).Cardiovascular/Interventional experience preferred.Must be able to communicate effectively in English (written/verbal).
