For more information, visit steward.org***Practice Manager Orthopedics Full TimeDescription:The Practice Manager is responsible for providing leadership and management of operations at multiple physician practices. The role will be responsible for staffing, patient relations, office planning, computer systems and protocol, establishing standards for office operations and procedures, equipment and supply ordering, accounts payable and more. The Practice Manager is committed to creating a culture of compassion, integrity, innovating thinking and leadership excellence. KeyResponsibilities:• Provides leadership, direction, and coordination for general clinic operations• Supervises all non-physician staff in assigned physician practices• Collaborates with Director to plan and execute practice financial goals• Works collaboratively with clinic division coding and billing specialists and central business office to assure timely and accurate capture of charges for services provided, prompt response to claim rejections, and compliance with all reimbursement procedures• Responsible for coordinating all information, service statistics, billing data and other financial data with the central billing office.• Manages staffing to always ensure appropriate coverage, responsible for hiring and onboarding new staff• Partners with Human Resources on performance and employee relations issues• Provides for initial orientation and ongoing training of personnel in proper work performance• Designs and manages scheduling systems with physician approval to maximize patient satisfaction and office efficiency.• Works collaboratively with clinic division coding and billing specialists and central business office to assure timely and accurate capture of charges for services provided, prompt response to claim rejections, and compliance with all reimbursement procedures• Provides information and assistance to patients to ensure effective patient relations. Investigates and proactively resolves patient complaints and concerns• Assures that provider schedules are developed and maintained• Responsible for maintaining the facility including managing any repairs or remodeling, service contracts on equipment and the inventory of all capital equipment• Develops and maintains working knowledge of regulations and standards specific to the clinic(s), including Medicare service and billing regulations• Ensures proper invoicing and tracking of receivables and payments to vendors• Prepares documents for billing physician encounters, enters data, ensures that referrals are received, performs referral management, etc.• Other duties as assigned.Qualifications:• Bachelor’s degree strongly preferred or equivalent education and experience• 5+ years’ experience working in a physician practice or other health care setting required.• 3-5+ years management experience in healthcare preferred• Experience working with physicians in a large physician group preferredSteward Health Care is proud to be a minority, physician owned organization.
