About the Role
The Logistics Assistant Manager applies the strategic direction of the department in accordance with the Management Team and is responsible for building the teamwork culture within this team, for leading the logistics team in delivering the KPIs of the department and for all material handling internally within Magna Assembly Piedmont, and at any outside warehouses used by MAP including handling of materials, shipping and receiving of raw materials, WIP, and finished goods.
The Logistics Assistant Manager contributes to the plant goal of operating with a minimal amount of inventory at all times and assumes responsibility for the safe operation of all logistical functions within the plant and at the warehouses (WIP, Press Shop, Assembly Shop, Finished Goods, and Shipping). The Logistics Assistant Manager assures inventory accuracy is maintained at the highest possible level (>99%) and works closely with Engineering, Quality, Production, Paint Dept and Material Planning to always assure product control.

Build and lead a world class logistics team.Be a valued leader in a team-oriented culture.Assures that customer goals, specifications and requirements are met.Implements departmental policies, goals, objectives, and procedures.Ensures that MAP maintains a proactive management style, an open-door policy for a positive employee relations climate, measured by a yearly EOS ScoreCoordinates and/or act as a liaison between the Division and other Corporate Entities, External Organizations, Suppliers, and CustomersFollows a Management System (IATF-16949) that encompasses all aspects of Magna Assembly Piedmont business.Assures that the area is ready to pass system and process audits at any time.Drives all activities together with the SAP team to implement strong business systems for inventory control and production planning.Monitors KOI's and defines countermeasures if targets are not achieved.Who we are looking for
Bachelor's degree in a related discipline or a combination of an equivalent Technical Degree/Certification and experience.5+ years of related experience in a manufacturing environment required automotive experience preferred.5+ years of relevant prior supervisory/management experience with a team 0f 8-15 associates, automotive experience preferred.Your preferred qualifications
Must have an understanding of production and tooling equipment and technology as it relates to the automotive industry.Strong interpersonal and organizational skills.Strong leadership skillsWorking Knowledge of SAPWhat we offer

Pay range: $90,000 - $115,000
