Weekly Pay Range - $1335 To $1483
Job Title: Clinical Dietitian Job Specialty: Clinical Nutrition Job Duration: 8 weeks Shift: Saturday, Sunday, and Monday with potential inclusion of Fridays; typical hours are Saturday and Sunday from 7:00 am to 3:30 pm, Monday from 8:00 am to 4:30 pm Guaranteed Hours: 24 per week Experience: Minimum 1 year in an inpatient setting, 2 years preferred License: Registered Dietitian by the Commission on Dietetic Registration (RD eligible acceptable with conditions) Certifications: Preferred California Children Services (CCS) paneled Clinical Registered Dietitian Must-Have: Strong clinical experience in inpatient settings, familiarity with ICU patients, tube, and alternative feeding methods, Cerner experience preferred, and previous travel experience beneficial Job Description: - Provide nutrition screening, assessments, and follow-ups for patients, including nutrition diagnosis and care plan development. - Collaborate with Nutrition Dietetic Technician Registered for indicated patient nutrition care. - Coordinate with the healthcare team to ensure patient-centered care. - Manage nutrition counseling, education, and community referrals when necessary. - Evaluate the effectiveness of nutrition care and oversee nutritional screening processes. - Participate in nutrition education activities beyond departmental settings. - Work with department leadership to support patient meal services oversight, diet orders, and patient menus. - Uphold patient satisfaction initiatives and utilize AIDET tools during patient interactions. - Support dietetic interns in collaboration with Clinical Nutrition Supervisor. - Demonstrate the ability to apply scientific knowledge from social, biological, chemical, and physical sciences within the nutrition process. Education: - B.S. degree in Nutrition or Dietetics. - Completion of a Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR)-approved or accredited internship with emphasis on clinical nutrition.
