Responsibilities:Ensure daily compliance with company policies, regulations, and procedures for plant quality and food safety operations.Maintain audit readiness and oversee robust food safety and quality programs.Escalate non-conformance events to quality director and plant manager.Drive a robust sanitation program and oversee plant pest control initiatives.Manage facility's change control program for effective risk assessment and decision-making.Ensure compliance with specifications, manufacturing instructions, and preventive maintenance programs.Lead investigations into non-conforming events and drive effective resolutions.Manage hold and release programs and review records for completeness and approval.Foster a positive work culture and develop talent within the team.Track and report plant quality KPIs and participate in budgeting processes.Provide training on food safety, FSMA, and regulatory compliance.Serve as a point of contact for customer issues, complaints, and inquiries.Required Skills:

Leadership: Ability to manage and lead a team effectively, driving continuous improvement and regulatory compliance.Communication: Strong communication skills to provide leadership, influence positive change, and foster a culture of food safety and quality.Organizational Skills: Highly organized with the capacity to develop and maintain facility systems and processes.Problem-Solving: Analytical and inquisitive mind to investigate issues and lead solution-based decision-making.Compliance Knowledge: Understanding of local, state, and federal regulations, as well as corporate policies and procedures.Quality Management: Experience in maintaining robust food safety and quality programs.Sanitation Management: Knowledge of overseeing plant sanitation to ensure compliance and proactive maintenance.Change Management: Ability to manage the facility's change control program and make robust risk assessments.Training and Development: Skill in providing training to personnel on food safety, regulations, and compliance.Customer Relations: Experience in managing customer-related issues, complaints, and inquiries.Data Analysis: Proficiency in performing data analysis to identify trends and enable proactive decisions.Quality Assurance: Experience in overseeing analytical and micro activities, ensuring accurate quality control results, and maintaining quality management systems.Required Education & Experience:

Undergraduate degree in food science, biological sciences, or related curriculum (or equivalent combination of education and experience)5 to 8 years of quality assurance or related experience in a food, beverage, or similar facilityDemonstrated leadership attributes, team leadership, or supervisory experience; 1+ year of manager experience preferredCertification and/or License - PCQI, HACCP, SQF Practitioner certifications preferred; may be required during course of employmentSalary:

$67,000 - $120,000 per year with a 10% bonus

Expected hours: 40 per week

Schedule:

8 hour shiftDay shiftIn charge of a 24/7 facility so may be on call
