Description
This Clinician is part of Acute Services (ACS) and responsible for providing crisis intervention for persons experiencing psychiatric/emotional crises. Intervention includes phone screening; face-to-face evaluations, crisis stabilization services, referrals for medication evaluations, and referrals to other Regional Service agencies as indicated. Services are offered primarily either in the Acute Care Services office or at Cheshire Medical Center Emergency Room, and on rare occasions other locations to provide the appropriate crisis response.

Master's Degree in Psychology, Social Work, Counseling, Counseling Psychology, or a related clinical field from an accredited college or university plus two years relevant experience.Preference given to a degree that is certifiable or licensable in N.H. and crisis intervention employment.Minimum one year in a degree related internship under the supervision of a psychiatrist, doctoral level psychologist, a certified/licensed mental health professional or person with equivalent credentials.
