Job Summary
The Department of Ophthalmology and Visual Sciences is seeking to hire a skilled individual with a background and interest in quantitative research. The employee will support a clinician-scientist building a large data repository to facilitate future studies. The successful candidate will work with a dynamic team of researchers and statisticians.

Perform data management
Perform scientific literature reviews
Build data repository
Ensuring research compliance with IRB and data use agreements
Prepare supporting materials for meeting abstracts and scientific publications

Required Qualifications*
Excellent computer skills, including expert knowledge of Microsoft Office products including Word, Outlook, Excel, and PowerPoint.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Desired Qualifications*
Masters degree in Public Health or a related discipline; for applicants without a Master's, evidence of adequate research experience, including publication/writing samples, will be accepted;
Experience working with a variety of datasets.
Modes of Work
Positions that are eligible for hybrid or mobile/remote work mode are at the discretion of the hiring department. Work agreements are reviewed annually at a minimum and are subject to change at any time, and for any reason, throughout the course of employment. Background Screening
Michigan Medicine conducts background screening and pre-employment drug testing on job candidates upon acceptance of a contingent job offer and may use a third party administrator to conduct background screenings. Background screenings are performed in compliance with the Fair Credit Report Act. Pre-employment drug testing applies to all selected candidates, including new or additional faculty and staff appointments, as well as transfers from other U-M campuses.
