Asthe
Clinical Physician
you will contribute to the health and wellbeing of the North Dakota State Hospital's clients and residents through the prevention, detection, and treatment of illnesses. The Clinical Physician completes histories and physicals of new admits, annual, pre-ops and discharging clients. The Clinical Physician also provides medical consults and evaluations of both common and complex medical conditions, collaborates proactively with adjunct health professionals to manage the patients' health needs in a holistic manner.
The Clinical Physician supervises dental healthcare staff and works closely with Pharmacy, Lab and X-Ray, as well as off-campus providers. Furthermore, the clinical physician partners with hospital committees such as infection control, medical staff to provide guidance and ensure that proper practices and protocols are being followed. The physician is a key stakeholder in NDSH quality improvement initiatives.
To be considered for this position,
you must be a Board Certified or Board Eligible M.D./D.O., with a completed residency in family medicine. Must be currently licensed, or eligible to qualify for licensure in North Dakota. Board Certification status must be included with application.
About Us: The North Dakota State Hospital (NDSH), located in Jamestown, is a Joint Commission accredited and Medicare certified hospital with an approximate bed count of 300 adult psychiatric, chemically dependent and secure service populations.
