This position reports directly to the Team Lead of the Cath Lab.Adheres to the policies governing and the monthly schedule directing 'on call' coverage of the unit.Performs calculations and measurements using data obtained from heart catheterizations including CO, pressure measurements, and valve calculations.Recognizes and reports normals and abnormals in patient physiology and hemodynamic parameters.Possesses solid knowledge of rhythm recognition and management.Experience preferred in the following procedures: AAA's, TCAR's, atherectomy, DVT lysis, stroke intervention, cerebral angiography, and embolization (cerebral angiography).Utilizes problem-solving techniques to make decisions related to patient care during a procedure, charge submission, and statistical counts.Assists physician by scrubbing during procedures, maneuvering catheters and wires, and injecting contrast into blood vessels.Maintain sterile field and sterile technique during all cases.Maintains and handles sterile equipment under principles of aseptic technique.Complies with all radiation safety policies and practices.Maintains safety of team members within the catheterization laboratory.Utilizes Xper monitoring system to accurately monitor and record case specifics.Completes paperwork and compiles required documentation from physician.Follows departmental policy and practice for adding or deleting cases from the schedule.Follows organizational and departmental policies for computer systems, to correctly order, retrieve, complete, and charge for procedures and maintain integrity of databases.Participates in maintaining, restocking, and inventorying the department supplies and reports any sub-par levels to the appropriate person.Sets up, programs, and runs the IVUS machine, under the direction of a physician.Sets up, programs, and runs various supplemental equipment (e.g., IABP, Rotapro, EKOS, Angiojet, Shockwave, etc.) under the direction of a physician.Troubleshoots routine radiologic and computer system problems and reports as necessary.Provides basic administrative reports from the database.Maintains, archives, retrieves, locates, and copies present and prior studies done in the laboratory.Looks for ways to role model and improve customer service.Works as a part of a team to promote a positive department reputation and team environment.Shares information with co-workers in a non-judgmental way that expands the knowledge and skills of each party.Utilizes feedback from customers to help make decisions regarding services and departmental activity.Utilizes downtime to complete tasks that help maintain and assure departmental operations.Job Requirements

Must have ACLS & BLS certifications; RQI certifications will not be accepted.Must have RCIS or CVT certifications.Must have Cath Lab tech/Interventional Radiology experience.Required experience: Interventional Radiology procedures; AAA's, TCARS, Atherectomy, dvt lysis, stroke intervention.Schedule Information

The shifts will be Monday - Friday 7a-5p (5) 8's.Minimum of 10 call shifts a month.Additional Details
