The Junior Finance Manager is expected to sell vehicles as a Sales Lease Consultant and perform all normal duties for that position. Work directly with the Finance Manager to complete any needed Finance Delivery at the direction of dealership management. Review the figures that are presented by the salesperson and use them when closing the deal with the customer. Sell add-on products such as extended service plans and guaranteed auto protection (GAP) coverage, which protects the customer in the event the vehicle is totaled but she still owes more than it is worth. Benefit the customer by arranging for the financing of the vehicle purchase which can save the customer the time and hassle. If the customer's credit is less than stellar, the finance manager may be able to offer alternatives such as loans with higher interest rates or longer terms. Benefit the dealership by assisting in closing deals and bringing in additional revenue through add-on sales. Qualifications
Strong negotiation and communication skills are needed, since much of the job involves dealing with customers. Strong attention to detail to handle administrative tasks such as completing all the paperwork involved with purchasing a vehicle. Must have a thorough knowledge of the financial marketplace and keep abreast of changes in products and interest rates. A four-year college degree in a field such as finance or have relevant work experience, such as employment at a consumer finance company. Automotive Finance experience is required. ADP, Route One, DealerTrack, and High Volume experience a plus.
