Job Summary
The Supply Chain Manager for Dayton Parts will report directly to the director of Supply Chain and will be responsible for developing supplier strategies within the supply chain organization that align with the commercial vision of the company, deliver industry-leading innovation, speed to market, product quality and delivery performance at the lowest total cost of ownership. This role will focus on optimizing our supply chain operations with a strong focus on sourcing products and driving efficient distribution to maximize growth. This individual will work cross functionally with the Operations, Sales and Product organization to generate desired supply chain strategies that will optimize profitability and serviceability. This role requires strategic thinking, negotiation skills, and a deep understanding of supply chain management principles.
Pay Scale: 111,000.00 - 120,000.00 (15% Bonus)
Primary Duties
Lead a team of 2-4 Procurement Contributors overseeing the global sourcing activities for DaytonDevelop and implement sourcing strategies to ensure a reliable supply of high-quality products at competitive prices that align with branding and commercial strategyLead sourcing projects from ideation through savings realization to achieve targeted cost reductionsMonitor market trends and competitor activities to identify new sourcing opportunities and mitigate risksFoster strong relationships with key suppliers to ensure continuous improvement, long term collaboration and mutual growthCreate and deploy vendor management KPIsWork closely with supply planning to understand capacity needs of supplier to ensure maximum serviceabilityDetermine initial stocking strategiesMaintain Project Ideation Funnel and Active Project Decks to simultaneously deploy strategies, achieve YoY performance improvements and support NPI/Growth initiativesDevelop and maintain close working relationships at all levels of the organization to understand strategic direction and how supply chain strategies align in order to find solutions that meet their needsQualifications
Strong written and oral communications skills - including executive presentation skillsExcellent knowledge of procurement best practices, market trends, and sourcing strategiesStrong analytical skills and the ability to interpret large amounts of data is requiredSupplier relationship ManagementNegotiation SkillsStrong interpersonal skills and demonstrated ability to perform and produce results in multifunctional global teams in a dynamic work environmentProven analytical, problem solving, and decision- making skillsExcellent computer skills - particularly Microsoft Office applicationsPhysical Requirement : Capability to lift 20 pounds.Working Conditions:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to reach, swivel, carry items from one building to another, and speak and actively listen. Noise level is usually moderate.Education / Experience
Bachelor's degree from an accredited university with concentration in one or more of the following disciplines: Management, Supply Chain, Operations, Business.MBA is preferredAPICS certification is preferred5+ years' experience as a supply chain planning professional
