The Finance Controllers Transformation organization is looking for a dynamic individual to help shape the future of the Finance organization, leading Finance’s efforts to provide accurate information of the highest quality to our customers, shareholders and regulators. The Controllers Transformation processes are comprised of those sets of activities that begin with defining and establishing appropriate data standards and ensuring readiness for consumers, standardizing the accounting and processing of transactions to financial systems, implementing a comprehensive set of integrated financial closing processes, which then culminates with instituting common and optimized financial / regulatory / management reporting processes.
This opportunity is part of the Reporting Transformation initiative within Controllers. The Reporting Transformation Initiative has been established under the wider Citi Finance Transformation and comprises four pillars – Data, Process, Infrastructure, and Governance. The program includes standardizing and reducing risk across current reporting processes and establishing the next iteration of strategy to adopt and implement global processes and infrastructure. The
Infrastructure
Project Manager
will be part of the overall Reporting Initiative and will partner with FRSS Operations, Technology, reporting teams, and other key stakeholders to lead various Regulatory and Management Reporting Initiatives with implementing more centralized, standardized and automated solutions in addition to retiring legacy processes.
The
Infrastructure
Project Manager
will support the Reporting Infrastructure (systems/technology) Lead by ensuring that Reporting Infrastructure projects and underlying milestones are executed and closed in an efficient, effective, and controlled manner. The PM will manage the delivery of multiple workstreams, the associated milestones, deliverables and technology projects, their status reporting, resource coordination, project planning & dependency management in conjunction with the workstream technology teams. The role holder will be expected to provide both strategic and operational thought leadership over Reporting Transformation with the ability to lead and influence a wide number of stakeholders across virtual and matrix teams.
Specific Responsibilities
Rule Rationalization PM
Manage overall Regulatory Rule Rationalization plan, including
Coordinate and Collate updates, risks, etc. on Program Plan Milestones, Deliverables and Activities from Various Stakeholders
Coordinate/Communicate with Deloitte on Milestone updates, Risks, etc.
Ensure that Project Activities are on track and raise possible Risks
Ensure Audit Readiness of all Project Artifacts
Efficient tracking of all Program-level Risks and Work with the Program Implementation Lead and various Stakeholders to coordinate and ensure closure of all Program-related Risks
Collation and creation of Program-related documents for Stakeholder/ Senior Management Reporting
FR Y-15 Infrastructure PM
Create and manage detailed Project Plan which covers Build, Testing, and Production Release for FR Y-15 Implementation
Ensure Build, Testing and Production Release dates aligns with the overall FR Y-15 Program Plan
Coordinate and Collate updates, risks, etc. on Project Plan Milestones, Deliverables and Activities from Various Stakeholders
Coordinate/Communicate with Y15 Program PMO on Milestone updates, Risks, etc.
Ensure that Project Activities are on track and raise possible Risks
Coordinate with Pillar Leads/ Product Owner (POs) and ensure evidence and artifacts (JIRAs, Test Cases, UAT Test Evidence) are aligned with technology capabilities and features
Efficient tracking of all Risks and Work with the Program PMO, Pillar Leads, Product Owners, Technology and other Stakeholders to coordinate and ensure closure of all Program-related Risks
Collation and creation of Program-related documents for Stakeholder/ Senior Management Reporting
Qualifications
5+ years of experience in Program/Project Management
Previous work experience as a Project Manager of technology implementations within banking and regulatory environment is considered a strong asset for this role
Strong knowledge of financial systems/infrastructure and data standards/concepts is required
Knowledge of regulatory, management, and/or financial reporting at a global bank strongly preferred but not required
Track record of success in delivering high quality work in a fast paced and dynamic environment within a heavily matrixed organization
Prior work experience in enterprise-wide transformation/organizational change initiatives
Self-starter with the ability to multitask and prioritize.
Excellent analytical skills to proactively identify trends and issues, diagnose root cause, draw conclusions, and drive to resolution
Ability to support cross-functional projects and teams with varied disciplines.
Strong communication (written, verbal and interpersonal) skills, including tact, diplomacy, and ability to influence senior executives
Background in SAFe, LeSS and other scaled agile frameworks; certifications such as Scrum master, SPC, LeSS, ICAgile Coaching are preferred but not required
