Job Description:• The Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) at the Family Health Center of Worcester (FHCW) provides comprehensive psychiatric care in collaboration with primary care providers, adhering to our adopted Integrated Care Model. The PMHNP is a member of the Psychiatric Services team and works alongside other PMHNPs and PCPs with advanced psychiatric training. This in-person role involves conducting comprehensive psychiatric evaluations, providing evidence-based treatment, and collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to enhance the quality of care. The ideal candidate applies the lens of trauma-informed care to their practice and is conscious of the effects that trauma, structural violence, and social determinants of health have on the mental health of individuals and communities.• Evaluation durations range from 60-80 minutes for initial visits and 20-40 minutes for follow-ups, determined by provider discretion and patient acuity.

Experience Required:• Minimum of two years of relevant experience as a Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner required. The candidate must have demonstrated strong clinical skills in psychiatric assessment and medication management, as well as the ability to collaborate effectively within a healthcare team.• Preferred experience: Experience in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry, Perinatal Psychiatry, psychiatric care for homeless/unhoused populations, and care of patients with co-occurring substance use disorders (including prescription of buprenorphine) is highly valued.• No new graduates will be considered for this specific position at this time. Educational Requirements:• Graduate of an ANA-accredited Nurse Practitioner program. Master's Degree in Nursing required.
