recruiting for a Board Certified or Board Eligible Advanced Heart Failure Cardiologist to join our established cardiology program. The selected candidate will contribute to the continued growth and development of our comprehensive heart failure program, including establishing a program for implantation & management of left ventricular assist device (LVAD) center at Hospital, the main campus of Health System.
Cardiology services include:
A dedicated 96 bed cardiovascular specialty hospital within the main campus, with staffed 800 adult acute beds.Non-invasive and interventional cardiology, cardiac imaging (CT and MRI).Electrophysiology (CRM, ICD and atrial fibrillation ablative procedures)Vascular surgery (open and endovascular)Cardiothoracic surgery (coronary revascularization, high risk surgical valve repair/ replacement)Structural heart and valve center (TAVR, MitraClip, ASD/ PFO closure, VSD closure, Left Atrial Appendage Closure) This position will benefit from:2,000 CHF discharges per year across the system.Established clinical research program.Impella and ECMO support available.Embedded within the cardiology group of 23 cardiologists and 12 APPs.A central CHF clinic with APP support for inpatient and outpatient services.A high-volume ambulatory practice with an established referral base and hospital presenceA favorable and balanced call schedule
The position will require high level skills including:
Management of the entire spectrum of heart failureFellowship training in heart failure including mechanical circulatory support and recent exposure to contemporary management of the heart failure patient through all care transitions is preferred
