Schedule Details/Additional Information:

Schedule is patterned based on a 12-week schedule.

Rotating days of the week each week

Rotating shifts of the week each week between first (0730-1600) and second (1400-2230 or 1500-2330)

Every other Saturday & Sunday 1500-2330

Holiday rotation and Call rotation

Major Responsibilities:Positioning and Image Critique

1)Ability to competently position patients for all exams2)Perform problem solving as it relates to physical limitations of patient during patient positioning3)Competent to perform image reviews to determine if more views are necessary to complete the exam4)Ability to select and adjust technical factors governing the imaging process5)Ability to identify artifacts on images and assist in problem solving6)Has minimum amount of repeat work7)Annual competencies

Competent operation in understanding of equipment and safety

1)Able to operate equipment in a competent manner2)Able to modify technical factors as situation warrants3)Able to perform start up and shut down procedures on all equipment4)Ensures that images are labeled and marked correctly5)Inspect equipment on a daily basis6)Reports any malfunctions to leader. If leader is unavailable contact proper ACE for repairs if needed.7)Performs problem solving as situation warrants; ie. equipment malfunctions and physical limitations of equipment8)Handles all equipment with care9)Surgical: for c arm cases, sends key images to PACS, enters orders as appropriate, arrives, begins, and ends exam in the Epic System.10) Perform CT scans independently once trained.

Delivery of Patient Care

1)Responsible for the welfare and care of all patients directly under their control; ie. implementation of immobilization devices as necessary for their safety and comfort2)Secures history from patients and records on appropriate form for radiologist

PACS, EMR, and other software

1)Demonstrates the ability to arrive, begin and end studies in the EMR as well as able to enter outside order as appropriate2)Demonstrates the ability to utilize Modality Work list/or select patient in Modality, acquire and send images from the modality to PACS3)Demonstrates the ability to log into PACS and retrieve the appropriate study4)Carries out the QC process for the images in PACS.5)Selects the correct buttons for prior exams and availability.6)Determines if pertinent priors are available in PACS.7)Ensures the image link is available and working in the EMR.8)Notifies the PACS Administrator or assistant of any issues that they are not able to resolve.9)General troubleshooting- ie. splitting and merging studies, changing accession numbers.10)Ability to use IPAD interpretation services

Participates in professional development

1)Attends and participates in department meetings2)Maintains required amounts of CME credits3)Maintains current ARRT certification/registration and state licensure4)Participates in problem solving that would improve quality for the department5)Maintains CPR certification6)Provides direction to new staff and staff in need of assistance7)Contributes to performance goals of department

Education/Experience Required:

Graduate of AMA approved school/program of Radiologic TechnologyKnowledge, Skills & Abilities Required:

Knowledge of radiology procedures and equipmentExcellent interpersonal and communication skillsPrevious outpatient service preferredBasic computer skills with proficiency in multiple programsCertified by American Registry of Radiologic Technology (ARRT) or eligibleLicensed by State of WisconsinCurrent CPR or maintain within 6 months of hirePhysical Requirements and Working Conditions:

For patient lifts of over 35 pounds, or when patient is unable to assist with the lift, patient handling equipment is expected to be used, with at least one other associate, when available. Pay Range$31.10 - $46.60
