Home to another favorite tourist destination, the nations oldest registered distillery, Jack Daniels.Job SummaryProvides direct patient care to patients using the nursing process in accordance with applicable scope and standards of practice.Performs plan of care intervention, including medication administration, specimen collection, clinical treatments, as well as other medical care treatment.Documents patient care given.Monitors, records, and communicates patient condition as appropriate to care team, physician, patient, and family.Assists patients with performing activities of daily living, including personal hygiene, elimination, nutrition, and ambulation.Collaborates as needed across disciplines to coordinate patient care, including patient transfer, discharge, referral and spiritual/psychosocial support needs.Evaluates learning needs of patient and/or family and provides patient/family education appropriate to age, culture, condition, and circumstances.Works as an advocate for the physical and emotional well-being of the patient.Perform other duties as assigned.May be required to perform duties of the CNA, MA or LPN or other nursing staff on occasion.Attends and participates in staff meetings, in-service, projects and committees as assigned.Adheres to and supports policies and procedures of the STRHS.Works scheduled shifts including overtime, when necessary.Accepts all call schedule as directed.Maintains a neat and professional appearance in compliance to the existing dress code.While performing this job, occupational exposure to bloodborne pathogens is present for all employees.Compliance to the STRHS Standard of Behavior is required.Compliance to Dress Code Standards.Should this job description be filled by a PRN employee, they will be subject to the requirements of that position.Job RequirementsMinimum EducationAssociate's degree required.Required SkillsRequires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision.Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action.CertificationsAHA Basic Life Support (BLS) within 30 days of hireLicensesMust be a licensed Registered Nurse with the State of Tennessee or a licensed Registered Nurse from a Compact State with the proper Tennessee paperwork filed within 30 days of hire.Equal opportunity and affirmative action employers and are looking for diversity in candidates for employment: Minority/Female/Disabled/Protected Veteran
