Hanes Industries in Conover, NC is seeking a Division Controller. Hanes is a division of Leggett & Platt Inc. (NYSE: LEG) and has over 50 locations in North America. Our products are most commonly found in building products, automotive, filtration, furniture and mattress manufacturing and construction.
Qualified applicants will demonstrate a working understanding of full cycle distribution business. Major areas of responsibility include detailed margin analyses by product lines and customers, operational variance analyses, financial planning, analysis, and forecasting for responsible branches. Applicants will also need to demonstrate excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills. Applicants will be a strategic business partner with the operations, sales, and executive leadership teams
Responsibilities include: •Strategic planning •Preparation and presentation of financial information to key stakeholders. •Financial planning and modeling •Forecasting and budgeting •Internal negotiations with sales, purchasing, finance and credit •Ensuring adequacy of internal controls and GAAP compliance •Financial due diligence for acquisitions •Support of operations and management with information vital to decision making •Assist when needed to resolve operational issues
The ideal candidate will possess a Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, or Finance, with a minimum of 3 years of related accounting experience, preferably in a full cycle distribution business environment. Public accounting experience, an advanced degree or professional certification is preferred.
