About this Opportunity:The Supply Chain Manager will deliver best in class customer service levels, working capital and achieve cost reductions. This position will drive business solutions and practices to develop a demand driven supply chain approach. This position will organize and implement strategic initiatives and standardize approaches in demand planning/management. This position will be leading production planning and supporting operations, scheduling, resource planning, shipping, receiving, tool crib, procurement, on time delivery, materials management – cost and quality of all supplied material, material flow objectives and logistics

Responsibilities:

Apply LEAN Principles that lead to measurable results in on time delivery, increased inventory turns, cost reduction, and other productivity improvements.Lead strategically critical projects that bring exceptional value to the company through total cost reduction, key supplier relationships, commodity focus, supplier consolidation, cost/benefit financial analysis, and supplier certification and communication.Analyze business commitments, customer specifications and other data to plan and develop supply chain strategy/activities.Develop, implement and coordinate appropriate activities to resolve issues in area of supply chain to ensure meeting of commitments.Participate in the identification and development of existing or new suppliers to ensure compliance with company program and specification requirements. Collaborate with Quality to establish and maintain a supplier approval process and maintain an approved supplier list for all required material.Create metrics to measure compliance to supply chain policies and procedures.Establish and implement new material planning methods.Lead efforts to develop supply chain excellence practices.Participate in and/or lead division performance improvement initiatives. Develop initiatives with operations for lead time reduction and Kanban for key suppliers where a benefit exists.Document physical supply chain processes, such as workflows, cycle times, position responsibilities, or system flows.Participate in the coordination of engineering changes, product line extensions, or new product launches to ensure orderly and timely transitions in material or production flow.Requirements / Skills:

Bachelor’s Degree required or equivalent; in area of specialty preferred.Minimum seven (7) years of experience in Supply Chain Management is required.Experience developing standard operating procedures for Supply Chain preferred.Strong understanding and application of lean principles is required.Strong understanding of manufacturing processes and operating systems preferred.Sound analytical thinking, planning, prioritization and execution skills.
