Mission or Goal of Unit:

The mission of the Division of Pulmonary Diseaseand Critical Care Medicine is to provide the best clinical care available forpatients with lung disease and associated medical illnesses in the Commonwealthof Virginia. We feel that this care can best be delivered within the VCU HealthSystem. Our mission is further to provide the best teaching of lung disease andassociated disorders to future physicians. Finally, we strive to explorecritically important lung and vascular and metabolic diseases through organizedresearch.

Chief Purpose of this position:

Thechief purpose of this recruitment is to hire a board-certified/board-eligiblePulmonologist to join our growing team.

Position Responsibilities:

VCU Health's Community Memorial Hospital, located south ofour main Campus in Richmond, and near the central North Carolina border. CMH a100-bed facility offering a wide range of patient-centered care in acollaborative and multidisciplinary environment. Our new hospital opened in2017 is and both aesthetically and clinically spectacular. Primaryresponsibilities are outpatient to include 1/2 day per week bronchoscopies andprocedures, with inpatient ICU and floor consults. Call coverage isapproximately 10 days per month, remote.
