Responsibilities
Performs speech/language therapy assessment procedures utilizing techniques consistent with the patient’s diagnosis. Develops individualized treatment plan based on evaluation findings
Provides detailed and concise documentation of evaluation, treatment, interim reports, and discharge evaluations within departmental timelines. Provides all necessary documentation required for on-going patient care.
Participates in mentoring and training of clinical support staff, new professional staff, and students/volunteers in the aspects of patient care.
Participates in the development and implementation of departmental
performance improvement
Participates in the development and implementation of clinical program
development.
Responsible for completing basic speech/language therapy
competencies in addition to departmental specific competencies
Meets productivity expectations for level of care and FTE statusUtilizes support staff and resources as per general guidance of
departmental guidelines.
Takes ownership of assignments; other duties as assigned or requested.Communicates and listens effectively with internal and external customers;
effectively understands instructions and shares knowledge.
Cooperates and interacts with supervisors, peers, other departments, and
all customer groups demonstrating our commitment to “service”.
Qualifications
Job RequirementsMaster’s Degree in Communicative DisordersCertificate of Clinical Competence (M.S.,CCC-SLP) Licensed Speech Pathologist in State of NMCPR CertifiedAbility to communicate effectively and finish tasks in a timely mannerAbility to follow oral and written instruction and established proceduresPreferred Job RequirementsOne (1) year related experience
