Manager interview required.
Patient Ratio:
1:1 with 2nd stage labor and C/S circulating and post-anesthesia stage 1
1:3-4 in triage (agency not usually assigned in triage but may be asked to assist with charge RN)
Early labor 1:2-3
Active labor 1:2
Requirements:
2-3 years of experience required
First time travelers are not accepted
Travel pairs are not accepted
Every other weekend required; Must work Labor Day and 1 winter holiday
BLS, ACLS, NRP, AWHONN FHM Intermediate Level required
May float to Mother/Baby
No block scheduling
Locals accepted
NJ RN license required upon start
Special Requirements:
Antepartum care (Use of EFM, assist with sterile speculum exam, NSTS, and OCTs)
External fetal monitoring, use of IUPC, and recognition and treatment of abnormal fetal heart rate patterns
Strong experience with IVs (No PICC lines)
Managing and administering antihypertensives, magnesium sulfate therapy, Pitocin, and pain medications
Circulate for c-section required, scrub for c-section highly preferred
Neonatal Care in Delivery Room

Type of Facility: Level 2 L&D; 1000 deliveries annually
Total Staffed Beds: 7 LDRs, 2 ORs, 3 bed L&D triage, and 20 bed Mother-Baby Unit
Scrub Color: Provided
Charting System: EPIC (go-live 9/28); Client Centricity Fetal Surveillance and Documentation system
Parking Cost: Varies based on parking structure
