Zero Trust Enginee r for an effort to provide systems engineering and integration of Naval software systems.

Pay Band -

$70,000 - $150,000

varies with experience.

You Will:

Provide knowledge in systems engineering and information technology as it relates to Zero Trust and Identity ManagementIntegrate ICAM DoN with CANES systemsDevelop solutions to solve problems and implement enhancementsInvestigate and resolve issues that span multiple applications/technologies and require involvement from technical personnel across multiple groupsDevelop and/or revise system designs and architectures to improve efficiency, stability, effectiveness, supportability, and sustainabilityProvide feedback on internal processes and recommendations for improvementContribute to team efforts by accomplishing related taskingsProvide in-depth research and analysis of issues and new technologiesPrepare technical briefs to present to engineering review teamsIntegrate COTS and GOTS software into CANES baselinesInstall test branches on physical hardware on lab equipment as first level integration testsVerify install documentation is executableYou Have:

U.S. CitizenshipA minimum of a Department of Defense (DoD) Secret level Security Clearance or be able to obtain an interim security clearance prior to hire dateDoD 8140\8570 Certifications to be qualified as an Information Assurance Technician (IAT) Level IIKnowledge of Zero Trust principles and applying them into infrastructure and application security policiesKnowledge of Network Segmentation, Multi-Factor Authentication, Just-in-Time access, and Principle of Least PrivilegeExperience with Active Directory including user permissions and attributes as well as trusts for identity managementExperience with Identity, Credential, and Access Management (ICAM) principles and designExperience with configuring and managing infrastructure security tools such as firewalls, intrusion detection and prevention systems, and IAM solutionsExperience with designing and implementing security solutions for network, system, and application securityExperience with Public Key Infrastructure (PKI)Experience in IT modernization, enterprise architecture, system integration, automation platforms and security.Experience working with senior-level stakeholders, providing technical input to leadership and developing comprehensive documentations such as presentations, whitepapers, and proposalsAbility to effectively install, configure, and administer in a multi-system and/or multi-application environmentExperience with Microsoft PowerShell is critical as it is heavily leveraged to automate installation, configuration, hardening, and maintenance tasksAbility to automate the installation and configuration of applicationsWorking knowledge and experience with Agile framework and ScrumKnowledge of Linux/Windows OS and networking from a system design perspectiveAbility to create and test virtualized environments (VMWare, OpenShift, Hyper-V, AWS) for development and testing procedures that are traceable to system requirementsWorking knowledge and experience of System Engineering processes and proceduresStrong documentation and oral communication skills to clearly communicate with all levels of users, engineers, managers, and organizationsAbility to work with others in a highly collaborative environmentSelf-Motivated, strong work ethic and commitment to qualityAbility to multi-task and balance multiple goals and prioritiesExperience with leading and mentoring junior staff while fostering a collaborative and productive work environment5+ years of technical IT experienceWe'd be Impressed if You Had:

A Bachelor's degree in computer science or engineeringSecurity certification (i.e. CISSP, GDSA, CCZT, CCNP Security)Microsoft certification (i.e., MCIT, MCSA, MCSE, etc.)Experience with SailPoint\Radiant Logic\Ping FederateExperience with Git, familiarity with Bitbucket, Confluence and JiraExperience architecting Zero Trust solutions, roadmaps, and capabilities in alignment with industry standards, including NIST 800-207, CISA Maturity Model, or DoD Zero Trust StrategyKnowledgeable with integrated development environment (IDE, Visual Studio Code) for GIT management and code revisionExperience with Ansible Automation Platform playbook creation and developmentExperience with programming/scripting languages (Bash\Python\HTML\JAVA)Experience with RedHat Ansible or SatelliteExperience with VMWare virtual infrastructureExperience with Linux administration and BASH scripting
