Position Overview
Our client, a growing company in the
Philadelphia Metro Area , is seeking an
Interim Controller
to manage full-cycle month-end accounting processes. This role involves overseeing day-to-day accounting functions, ensuring the accuracy of financial statements, and providing key financial insights to support decision-making. The Interim Controller will work
on-site 3 days a week
with
1 remote day
and may need to travel to client sites as necessary.
Key Responsibilities
Oversee
full-cycle month-end accounting , including general ledger management, reconciliations, and financial statement preparation.Manage
accounts payable/receivable , payroll, and other core accounting functions.Ensure compliance with
GAAP
and other regulatory standards, maintaining strong internal controls.Prepare and analyze
financial reports
to provide insights to senior leadership for decision-making.Collaborate with the finance team on
budgeting, forecasting , and variance analysis to support strategic financial planning.Manage
financial audits , working closely with external auditors to ensure accurate and compliant reporting.Identify opportunities for
process improvements
and implement best practices to enhance efficiency and accuracy.Ensure
tax compliance
by managing tax filings and other regulatory requirements.Qualifications
Proven experience as an
Interim Controller
or senior accounting professional.Strong knowledge of
GAAP , financial reporting, and internal controls.Experience managing
month-end close processes , financial statements, and audits.Proficiency in financial software and
Microsoft Excel .Excellent
leadership and communication skills , with the ability to collaborate across departments and influence senior leadership.Bachelor's degree
in accounting, finance, or related field; CPA preferred.Compensation
Hourly rate ranging from
$55 to $85
per hour, depending on experience.Travel required
