DescriptionAWS Finance is seeking a highly analytical and creative world class Finance Manager to join the AWS Business Insights and Analytics team. This position will be responsible for driving the development of business metrics, customer insights and deep business analytics. This role requires a self-starter with strong problem-solving skills, a keen attention to detail, and ability to work in a fast-paced environment with ambiguous situations. This role will work with business, Sales, Service Finance, Accounting and Data / BI Engineering teams across AWS to dive deep and develop a crisp understanding of all AWS revenue components, trends, customer behavior, and other drivers impacting the business. The ideal candidate should know and love working with business intelligence tools, be passionate about working with data and using their findings to provide business insights and guide the broader organization. This is a critical role with high visibility to executive and senior leadership, and is a great opportunity for those willing to roll up their sleeves to achieve results while innovating and improving current processes.Key job responsibilitiesDrive key business and customer analytics, variance analyses, and financial modeling to provide insights to the team and executive leadership.Partner with stakeholders across multiple teams in business, finance, accounting, and business intelligence to understand key business drivers and deliver new reports.Support analytics requests across AWS business and finance teams.Deliver written documentation/communication of current business drivers and trends.Work closely with Business Intelligence team to build tools and mechanisms to improve processes as the business grows.Foster constructive communication across multiple teams to drive standardization and information socialization.Basic Qualifications- 5+ years of tax, finance or a related analytical field experience- Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, business, economics, or a related analytical field (e.g., engineering, math, computer science)Preferred Qualifications- 6+ years of solving complex business challenges by delivering accurate and timely financial models, analysis, and recommendations that have a proven impact on business (e.g., financial savings, operational improvements, or customer benefits) experience- Knowledge of SQL/ETL- 6+ years of applying key financial performance indicators (KPIs) to analyses experience- 6+ years of building financial and operational reports/data sets that inform business decision-making experience- 6+ years of creating process improvements with automation and analysis experienceAmazon is committed to a diverse and inclusive workplace. The base pay for this position ranges from $85,900/year in our lowest geographic market up to $179,500/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
