How You'll Perform the Role
Build, recruit and develop a strategic indirect procurement team responsible for interfacing with business and supplier partnersLead strategic sourcing initiatives in conjunction with team covering approximately $600M of indirect spend categories including facility services, MRO, capital, Energy, HR and Administrative ServicesFacilitate cross-functional teams to execute the procurement process and plans; enable supplier selection and decision process; lead / facilitate contract development, negotiation and execution processEffectively network with senior business leaders to build Procurements profile and engagement on key sourcing strategies and provide support for resolution of procurement related issuesDevelop relationships with suppliers to manage supplier performance issues in collaboration with relevant internal business customersResponsible for all procurement technology systems, process tools and proceduresDevelop and support implementation of our Procure to Pay system, Coupa, across our Business Units that builds the capabilities needed for long-term growth and sustainability including standardizing supplier onboarding process, requisitioning, Approval workflow, PO issuance, spend analytics, category management, sourcing methodology, tools and templates, policies and procedures, supplier management program, etc.Implement and Support ongoing utilization of our Contract Management SystemManage the Sourcing Tracker and Initiative Wave for the procurement functionSupport ESG (Environmental, Sustainability, and Governance) activities for Novolex Marketing and CommunicationsUtilize market intelligence to anticipate opportunities, strategize and support the business in formulating solutions to address changing market needsEstablish relationships with key internal leaders to ensure procurement is aligned with their business objectivesEstablish Procurement policy and proceduresEstablish management reporting to support communication with the leadership teamIdentify savings opportunities and partner with Finance teams to capture savings in budgeting processEstablish balanced scorecard metrics (cost, quality, service, etc.) to enable decision makingCommercial real-estate portfolio including 3rd party warehousingWhat We Need From You
Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance or another applicable specialty required; MBA a plusMust have a proven track record of achievement at the management level and 7+ years of experience leading strategic sourcing projects and operational/process value generation initiativesDemonstrated achievement of results, including savings generation, improvements to supplier relationships and improvements in serviceEmbraces fact-based decision making; naturally seeks to leverage and/or integrate market data, spend analytics and cost modelingStrong project management skills, including stakeholders, timelines and meeting management skillsDemonstrated strength in partnering with internal customers; regularly communicates with stakeholders for alignmentPossesses strong negotiation skills; experience in global contracting terms, conditions and contracting techniques for managing riskEntrepreneurial spirit preferred; hands-on leadership requiredDriven and able to balance multiple prioritiesAdvanced Excel and PowerPoint skills required
