Summary:

Experienced hands-on manager skilled in driving change within a multi-site manufacturing environment. Preferred background in the steel market.

Responsibilities

Managing supplier relationships, negotiating advanced contracts, and overseeing the selection of key suppliers.Overseeing the implementation of new vendor contracts and processes.Monitoring vendor and internal performance against contracts, industry benchmarks, and historical data, and reporting findings to executive management.Developing supplier relationships to support activities, using criteria for selection and performance/quality evaluation.Ensuring materials are delivered at expected costs and quality levels, including managing purchase orders and long-term agreements.Monitoring inventory levels to ensure timely delivery of goods.Creating strategies to reduce costs and enhance efficiency.Establishing and enforcing purchasing policies and procedures.Tracking and reporting key metrics related to purchasing activities.Developing risk management strategies for the supply chain.Evaluating market changes and making data-driven recommendations.Collaborating effectively with various levels of the organization, both internally and externally.Working within cross-functional teams.Ensuring compliance with ISO and QS standards.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or Business Administration.At least three years of experience as a Purchasing Manager in a manufacturing setting.Proven expertise in negotiation and supplier management.Proficient in ExcelDemonstrated success in negotiating complex contracts, managing strategic categories, and leading company programs or initiatives.Experience with IATF standards.
