Join a team of Pediatric Hospitalists and Adult Hospitalists and provide up-to-date, evidence-based care to the community in beautiful central Maine with proximity to Portland, Maine.
About the position:
Provide care for well-newborns, Level II NICU and delivery attendance, pediatric inpatients, and emergency department consultsState-of-the-art facility12 or 24-hour shifts available.In-house support from OB's, midwives, anesthesia, emergency medicine and family medicinePediatric subspecialty/NICU/PICU support available by phoneTeaching responsibilitiesAverage daily census of 4-6 patientsWho we are seeking:
MD, DOBoard certification or ABMSMust especially be comfortable with neonatal resuscitation, newborn care, and stabilization of critically ill newborns while awaiting transfer to a tertiary care center.Be Maine licensed or ability to obtain oneAbout the benefits:
