Seeking a Qualified and Experienced Physician

Are you a dedicated and highly skilled physician passionate about providing comprehensive care to patients with pulmonary and critical care needs? We're searching for a qualified physician to join our team in a growing community near Hiltons, VA. This ongoing locum tenens opportunity offers the chance to make a significant impact, starting as soon as possible (ASAP).

Responsibilities:Deliver comprehensive inpatient and outpatient care to a diverse adult patient population with a variety of pulmonary and critical care conditions.Conduct thorough patient history and physical examinations, order and interpret diagnostic tests, and develop effective treatment plans.Perform bronchoscopies and EBUS (endobronchial ultrasound) procedures to diagnose and manage lung diseases.Manage patients requiring mechanical ventilation, ensuring optimal respiratory support and ventilator settings.Collaborate with referring physicians, specialists, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to deliver coordinated patient care.Round on patients regularly in both the inpatient and outpatient settings, monitoring progress and adjusting treatment plans as needed.Document medical records accurately and efficiently within the Athena and Meditech electronic medical record systems.Stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in pulmonary and critical care medicine and participate in ongoing professional development activities.Qualifications:

Active and unrestricted Virginia (VA) medical license is required.Board eligibility in Pulmonary Disease and Critical Care Medicine is preferred, but applications from physicians with eligibility in Internal Medicine will be considered.Minimum of two years of experience in a clinical pulmonary and critical care setting is preferred.Strong clinical judgment, decision-making skills, and a comprehensive knowledge base in pulmonary and critical care medicine.Excellent communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills to build rapport with patients, families, and healthcare teams in a high-pressure environment.Demonstrated commitment to providing compassionate and high-quality patient care.Ability to thrive in a fast-paced and demanding environment with both scheduled clinic hours and call coverage.Proficient in performing bronchoscopies and EBUS procedures.Experience managing patients on ventilators.Additional Considerations:
