Job Responsibilities- Inspect vehicle engine and mechanical/electrical components to diagnose issues accurately- Conduct routine maintenance work (replacing fluids, lubricating parts, etc.) aiming for vehicle functionality and longevity- Recommend future maintenance requirements and advise clients on proper vehicle use- Repair or replace broken, damaged or missing parts and repair issues (e.g.leaks)- Provide accurate estimates (cost, time, effort) for a repair or maintenance job- Keep logs on work and issues, including warranty concerns- Maintain equipment and tools in good condition- Test drive vehicles after repairs are complete to ensure mechanical soundness and to determine whether any other problems

exist- Diagnose issues based on drivers' descriptions and vehicle performance- Keep up-to-date with developments in automotive technology to ensure continuing innovation and efficiency- Comply with state vehicle requirements by testing engine, safety, and combustion control standards- Ensure health and safety practices are observed in all tasks and procedures- Communicate with clients about vehicle problems, diagnostic tests, and repairs- Collaborate with other repair team members to ensure the timely completion of services

PM19Requirements:Job Requirements- High school diploma or equivalent- Certification from a vocational school or completion of apprenticeship is preferred- Proven experience as an automotive technician or mechanic- ASE certification preferred (National Institute for Automotive Service Excellence)- Proficiency in using various hand tools, precision measurement tools, and shop equipment- Working knowledge of vehicle diagnostic systems and methods- Ability to handle various tools (e.g., pliers) and heavy equipment (e.g., lift)- Willingness to observe all safety precautions for protections against accidents, dangerous fluids, chemicals etc.- Excellent knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and electronic components of vehicles- Working knowledge of vehicle diagnostic systems and methods- Ability to read and understand complex technical manuals and schematics- Physical strength and stamina to lift heavy objects and work in cramped spaces- Valid driver's license- Good communication skills and the ability to explain complex issues to non-technical individuals- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and as part of a team- Strong problem-solving skills and detail-oriented- Basic computer and reporting skills- Commitment to maintaining up-to-date knowledge through continuous education and training

Compensation:The Technician Position has a Pay Scale consisting of the following elements and ranges. Wages include Base Hourly Compensation of between $25 and $50
