Job PurposeSupport the company’s maintenance program by focusing on plant equipment and building maintenance in a manner that meets and complies with all food safety policies and OSHA regulations.
This is a 3rd shift position.Essential FunctionsTroubleshoot and repair mechanical problems with plant equipment (e.g., mechanical drive systems, HVAC, hydraulic and pneumatic systems)Troubleshoot and repair electrical problems with plant equipment (e.g., wiring, circuits, fuses, switches, electrical installations, transformers, motors, and AC/DC motor drives)Perform preventive maintenance on all plant equipmentPerform building maintenance and repairs (e.g., air conditioning, lights, forklifts)Perform small repairs on equipment to prevent long-term downtime until permanent repairs can be completedReport food safety and quality issues to appropriate personnelComply with all food safety requirements, training, policies, and proceduresPerform other job-related duties as assignedQualifications (Education, Experience, Competencies)Strong troubleshooting skillsSkilled in pneumatics, and hydraulicsAbility to accurately use and read a variety of measuring devices
Well rounded electrical, mechanical and machine shop skills and experienceWritten and verbal communication skillsAbility to work overtime as neededHigh school diploma or equivalentTechnical degree in a maintenance related field, MN Special Engineer Boiler License or higher, or refrigeration experience preferred$2,000 Sign-On Bonus after 90 days.
