Overview

As a Test Engineer at Scag Power Equipment located in Mayville WI, you will ensure the durability and reliability of Scag products by qualifying new designs and components through lab testing and field testing.

Responsibilities

Work with Scag product development team to qualify and verify new Scag products using field and lab testingWork with product cost engineer to test and evaluate alternative components and designsDevelop and execute test plans to validate operation and performance of products during the development phase and throughout lifecycle of the productExecute relevant safety testing of products according to specific industry standards (ANSI, OPEI, CPSC, etc.).Gather, analyze and interpret field test data using data acquisition hardware/softwareDesign, set-up, monitor, and analyze automated lab testing to simulate forces and motions using test parameters from finite element results and actual field test results/measurementsSummarize and document field test data and lab test results with written reportsMaintain database for tracking validation activities and test resultsRecommend solutions to improve future system and component failures

Qualifications

What it takes:We need an excellent communicator, who is self-motivated and can multi-task in a fast paced team environment.

You will need exceptional analytical skills for problem solving, with a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or Engineering Technology.

A strong candidate will have 3+ years’ experience in the following:Strong mechanical aptitude, detail oriented, disciplinedAbility to manage and work with other team members, willingness to teach and learnSkilled design and programming of PLC’s for running automated testseDAQ data acquisition experienceKnowledge of servo-hydraulic test equipment, dynos and other test equipmentExperience testing and building fluid power systemsCREO (Pro-E) ExperienceEqual Opportunity Employer-minorities/females/veterans/individuals with disabilities/sexual orientation/gender identity.
