Responsibilities

The Quality and Patient Safety Program Manager is a pivotal role within our healthcare organization, responsible for integrating and overseeing quality assurance, patient safety, and risk management initiatives. Reporting to the Director of Quality and with direction and support provided by the Director of Patient Safety, this position entails collaborative leadership across multidisciplinary teams to enhance patient safety, clinical effectiveness, and overall healthcare outcomes within a facility. The Program Manager plays a role in fostering a culture of quality and safety, driving continuous improvement efforts, and ensuring compliance with regulatory standards.

Qualifications

Education:Bachelor’s degree required.Master's degree preferred.

Experience:Minimum of 5 years of experience in patient safety, healthcare quality, or related field (required).Experience in clinical healthcare role (preferred).Experience in program management within a healthcare setting (preferred).

Skills:Comprehensive understanding of quality assurance, patient safety, and improvement principles, as well as regulatory standards.Background in leading quality and safety within healthcare settings.Detail-oriented approach to ensuring compliance with regulatory standards.Effective communication skills for engaging with stakeholders at all levels.Excellent analytical skills and proficiency in data analysis.Experience in project management and leading multidisciplinary teams.Proficiency in implementing evidence-based practices to enhance patient safety and clinical effectiveness.Proven ability to drive continuous improvement initiatives in healthcare quality and patient safety.Strong leadership abilities with a collaborative approach to teamwork.Advanced expertise in risk management principles and strategies.
