The only way for a company to meet such a goal is to consistently meet production deadlines and expectations.Position Description:The Laser Operator is responsible for producing parts efficiently and effectively by operating CNC 5-axis lasers.Essential Responsibilities:Perform tooling setup per work instructionsLoad / unload parts onto fixtures and operate 5-axis laser machineInspect completed parts using micrometers, indicators, calipers, comparators, etc.Perform maintenance and cleaning of cutting equipment and work areasPerform machine alignment procedures to ensure peak operating performanceMaintain quality standards through understanding of the Quality Management SystemDevelop and maintain effective working relationships with peers, supervisor, and other staffOther duties as directed by supervisorQualifications:High school diploma or GED requiredWorking knowledge of CO2 and Fiber laser equipment, tooling, and processesKnowledge of G&M codesAttention to detail and ability to deal with complex part geometryAbility to read blueprints and use various inspection equipmentExperience in sheet metal or machining environment a plusWilling to train individuals that can run CNC equipment and have a knowledge of programming
