To learn more about our dynamic, stable and growing company, visit www.balchem.comWe are currently seeking a Warehouse Manager in our Albert Lea, MN manufacturing facility.POSITION SUMMARY :The Warehouse Logistics Manager is responsible for ensuring that the daily operations of Balchem's warehousing facilities are carried out properly. This includes but is not limited to the oversight of inventory issues, warehouse personnel, logistics, and warehouse staffing needs. Duties are to be carried out while following established procedures in a manner that is compliant with our safety policies. Must be knowledgeable and comply with all Quality Control (QC), Quality Assurance (QA), and good manufacturing practices (GMPs).

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:Manage Warehouse personnel. Maintain accurate inventory in both shipping and receivingManage inventory personnel and schedule personnel in a cost-effective manner, keeping overtime to a minimumManage outside warehouses and arrange for shuttle trucks between warehousesObtain proposals for warehouse needs for management approvalHave all warehouses in SQF/AIB readiness at all timesWork with shipping and receiving personnel to ensure efficient processEnsure safe working conditions are met and maintained at SECSPerform other duties as assignedAdhere to all Company policies and procedures, i.e. personnel, safety, and equipment maintenance and upkeepBecome proficient in areas of production and safety policies and procedures (accident/injury reporting, blood borne pathogens, confined spaces, emergency evacuation, equipment operation/maintenance, hazard communication, ladders, lockout/tag out, personal protective equipment, etc.)

REQUIREMENTS:Associate degree acceptable (Bachelor's preferred) with required concentration in a Technical Discipline (Industrial Engineering, Logistics, Supply Chain Management or Operations Management), or an equivalent combination of education and experience is requiredFive to seven years of related experience preferably working in a Food/Beverage facility or in Warehouse ManagementComputer literacy is required including Microsoft Office (prefer experience in warehouse inventory management systems, such as MRP/ERP)Knowledge of HACCP, SQF/AIB Standards, FDA Standards, OSHA standards, Workers Compensation Laws, and the Public Health Security and Bioterrorism Preparedness and Response Act of 2002 is highly desirablePrevious experience with training individuals and training large groups is a mustIndividual must be equipped with strong motivation, organization, time management, documentation, and communication skills (both orally and written)Must have excellent attention to detail and have the ability to multi-task and prioritizeDemonstration of strong work ethics (punctual, dependable, and trustworthy) is necessaryThe ability to utilize common sense and skills in completing responsibilities and perform employee-training conforming to company production, personnel, and safety procedures, and the ability to read and comprehend instructions, correspondence, and memos is requiredIndividual should possess the ability to write correspondence and effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization, and be able to communicate and handle conflict in a professional mannerThe ability to give and welcome feedback and contribute to building a positive team spirit is necessaryIndividual must be able to work overtime when required
