Operation of the Press Brake MachineFLSA Status:

Hourly Non-ExemptJob Duties/Responsibilities:Independently set up & operate Amada Press Brake MachineEnsure proper tooling and fixturing as well as reporting operation times Interfacing with programmers, engineers and other team members for problem solvingWork within tolerances of +-.005” in sheet metal up to ¼” thickCan perform single and multiple set ups on single brakeProgram and form parts at press brake using blueprint within designated toleranceRecord inspection measurements using dial/digital calipers, protractors, and height gagesWork with aluminum, steel, stainless steel, and copper materialsStudy, understand, and follow assembly instructions, blueprint specifications, job travelers, facility procedures, and parts listMaintain orderliness of product, equipment, tools, supplies, ESD, part handling and inventory points within FabricationPosition parts and subassemblies by using templates or by reading measurementsReport assembly, equipment, material, and/or quality problems to Manager to obtain additional resources or directionComplete preventive maintenance per schedule/instructionsMaintain a safe and clean working environment by complying with PPE procedures, work rules, and regulationsDocument actions by completing production and quality formsContribute to a team effort by accomplishing related tasks, or rotating through different processes/jobs as required or directedOperate per established Company Policies and ProceduresOther tasks as assigned by ManagementQualifications:Press Brake experience of at least 3-5 yearsRecent experience with running, set-up and operation of press brakes, recent Amada press brake experience preferredExperience with Deburr machines, Turret Punch Presses, Shears and Haegers a plusHas performed single and multiple setups on one press brakeRequire ability to read blue prints, dial & digital calipers & height gaugesAble to form parts within tolerance as tight as +-.005”Program own dimensions off blueprints preferredMust have worked with aluminum, steel & stainless materialsWorks well both independently and as a team playerOral and written communication skills for a team environmentAbility to lift at least 50 pounds without assistanceDetail oriented, organized, analyticalHigh School Diploma or EquivalentPlease note: Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States without the need for visa sponsorship now or in the future.
