Overview
The

is looking for a Pile Driver to join the crew installing foundation piles, lagging, walers, braces, etc., for excavation support in heavy civil and highway construction projects throughout Northeast PA and the Lehigh Valley, with a current focus on Susquehanna, Wyoming, Lackawanna, Luzerne, Monroe, Carbon, Schuylkill, Lehigh, and Berks Counties.

Responsibilities
Essential Duties and ResponsibilitiesPerforms all work according to OSHA and H&K Safety policiesDrive pilings for retaining walls, bulkheads, and foundations of structuresConfer with Pile Driving Foreman on job specificationsRead and interpret load chartsInterpret hand signals to determine where materials are to be placedPerform daily inspections on equipment, clean and perform minor maintenance, report malfunctionsOther duties as assigned
Qualifications
Required Skills, Education, and ExperienceRelated experience and/or training
Equivalent combinations of education and experience may be considered
Working knowledge and ability to safety and efficiently understand and direct crane set up and lifting plansExperience and working knowledge of riggingAbility to read blueprints and job-related documentsAbility to operate surveying instrument, shoot elevations and straight linesExperience with pile driving and drilling equipmentStrong verbal and written communication skillsProblem solvingAbility to travel as required for projectsAbility to fit test & utilize appropriate PPE as neededAbility to meet physical requirements (movement, lifting, as relevant to job)
Preferred Skills, Education, and ExperienceHigh school diploma or equivalent (such as the GED) from an accredited educational institution2 years of relevant experience and/or trainingExperience operating heavy equipment used in highway construction
Specific crane and pile-driving equipment experience strongly preferred
OSHA or other relevant safety certifications
