Civil Inspector for a redevelopment project located in Queens, Long Island.

Recently, Global Infrastructure Solutions Inc. (GISI), the parent company of The LiRo Group and Hill International, Inc. consolidated a portion of the highly experienced staff of both LiRo and Hill in the Northeast to create a larger, more efficient, and cost-effective team to serve clients.
LiRo-Hill is a 1100-person firm with offices in NYC, Long Island, Buffalo, Rochester, Boston and Metro Park, NJ.
Responsibilities
Inspect construction work to ensure compliance with nfrastructure standards and project specificationsPrepare daily reports including description of contractor work activities, labor and equipment identification and quantityReview plans to identify potential violationsDocument inspections and report any issuesDetermine the quality of materials being used
Qualifications
Minimum of 1-5 years engineering experienceBachelor’s degree in Civil/Structural Engineering is requiredSelf-starter and organized capable of simultaneously working on multiple projects (terminals, buildings, bridges, ports)Working knowledge of inspection and testing of mechanical, electrical, fire protection and architecturalEffective interpersonal and communication skills, both oral and written, including knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel andValid driver’s license is required
