Recently, Global Infrastructure Solutions Inc. (GISI), the parent company of The LiRo Group and Hill International, Inc. consolidated a portion of the highly experienced staff of both LiRo and Hill in the Northeast to create a larger, more efficient, and cost-effective team to serve clients.

LiRo-Hill is a 1100-person firm with offices in NYC, Long Island, Buffalo, Rochester, Boston and Metro Park, NJ.

Responsibilities

The

Associate Structural Engineer

will play a crucial role in overseeing various projects as project manager; the technical mentorship of local staff; supporting business development efforts; delivering consistent technical quality, successful project delivery, and client satisfaction.Perform a wide range of structural engineering analysis and design tasks for new and existing structural steel, reinforced concrete, masonry, and wood/timber buildings and related structuresPerform site investigations to observe and document existing conditions and document structural deficienciesPerform condition assessments and load ratings of various structuresSupervise and assist in the development of project plans, design calculations, specifications and lead the coordination with other design disciplines as required to deliver high quality engineering servicesProvide responses and solutions to issues during the construction administration phase of projectsUtilize a broad assortment of technical and project management skills on projects that range from small renovations to large scale new constructionMentor, train, and develop junior engineering staffSupport the preparation of technical proposals in the pursuit of new workAttend local industry and business development functionsCoordinate staffing needs, project financial performance, and revenue projections as a project manager

Qualifications

Bachelor of Science in Civil/Structural Engineering; Master’s Degree a plus8+ years’ minimum experience in Structural Engineering practiceNY PE required; SE Licensure a plusStrong written and verbal communication skillsStrong mentor-ship skillsAbility to supervise, delegate tasks, and provide guidance to technical staffUnderstanding and application of NYC and NYS code requirementsExperience in using various structural analysis softwareAbility to multitask, work on multi-disciplinary teams, and consistently meet deadlinesAutoCAD and Revit experience a plusWe are committed to your success, and we invest in your growth and development to unlock your full potential.Competitive Total Compensation PackageEmployee- Only Stock Purchase PlanMentoring programsContinuing Education ProgramEmployee referral bonusVolunteer/Industry association opportunities

Minimum: $140,000; Maximum: $165,000The range provided is the salary that the Firm in good faith believes at the time of this posting is willing to pay for the advertised positionExact compensation will be determined on the individual candidate’s qualifications and location.
