Lead Phlebotomist

Description:JOB PURPOSE:Responsible for the oversight of phlebotomy services and serves as the technical expert in phlebotomy. Coordinates phlebotomy activities to ensure timely, safe, efficient specimen collection according to established collection protocols.Qualifications:MINIMUM EDUCATION REQUIRED:High School graduate or GEDMINIMUM EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:Two (2) years of phlebotomy experience.MINIMUM LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION REQUIRED BY LAW:NoneADDITIONAL QUALIFICATIONS:Knowledge of venipuncture/phlebotomy required. Phlebotomy certification through ASCP, ASPT, NCA or equivalent agency is preferred. Experience working in a hospital preferred.
