Essential Duties:
The assistance of equipment rig up and rig down on each well under the guidance of the Senior Operator / Supervisor
To prepare and operate the well testing equipment including shutdown systems, switchgear, generators & compressors, manifolds, sand separators, test separators, etc.
Ensure that all procedures are followed in accordance with the safety precautions and practices required and that equipment is operated within its limitations
To ensure that the servicing and preventative maintenance is carried out and that equipment is ready and available for use as required
To ensure that all power systems (motors), lighting systems and cables are used correctly and maintained in a safe working condition
To ensure that visual operating checks are carried out, as well as the correct operating procedures performed on all equipment and systems, as per industry standard recommendations, including safe compliance
Discuss all repair / maintenance actions with Supervisor for their reporting duties and system utilization records
Stand in for Senior Operator, when needed
Promote safety awareness and environmental consciousness while complying with all applicable safety and environmental procedures and regulations
Ensure compliance with Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) regulations and guidelines
Promotes and takes an active part in the Quality Improvement Process
Requirements:
EDUCATION : High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED)
EXPERIENCE : 2-3 years' experience as a well testing trainee preferred
LICENSES / CERTIFICATIONS : Completion of Intermediate Well Testing training school
TRAVEL : Varies depending on job site
OTHER:
Bilingual preferred, ability to perform basic mathematical calculations
