Responsibilities/Essential Functions:
Responsible for reconciling and validating ceded premiums and losses for reinsurers and reinsurance brokers.Review reinsurer premium invoices and validate amounts due.Manages cash and research discrepancies.Resolves payment discrepancies with underwriters and reinsurers.Prepare monthly and quarterly premium and loss bordereaux.Effectively and efficiently track reinsurance loss billings.Manage overdue amounts and follow up with reinsurers and brokersProcess ceded payment.Apply cash receipts in reinsurance system as needed.Participate in Financial Audits and respond to all applicable audit requests timely and accurately.Work closely with other Reinsurance Accounting team members, and members of Finance, Underwriting and Claims departments.Position Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance with 2+ years of experience.Property and casualty accounting background/knowledge preferred.Proficient in MS Office SuiteStrong attention to detailEffectively prioritize multiple tasks to meet deadlines.Work both independently and as part of a team.Need strong organizational and time management skillsStrong interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills are required.
