This position is a hybrid in-office role that works out of our Headquarters in Boston, MA (this role is not a virtual / remote position). 4 days in office/ 1 day WFH

Wayfair's Finance group is looking to add a Staff Accountant to their team! This role will reside on the financial reporting team within the Wayfair Finance Department. This is a fast scaling position and will be able to offer a lot of career progression at a growing public company. This is a dynamic role and offers exposure to many areas of accounting and finance.

The accounting team is responsible for the financial statement close process. Members of this team work closely with various other teams and departments to properly report the consolidated balance sheet and income statementto management monthly ,

as well as public filings quarterly and annually

Responsibilities:

Reconcile, analyze and track assigned general ledger accounts on a timely basis and resolve any resulting discrepanciesWork with external auditors and prepare audit work papers and support as requestedPrepare and book journal entries for various expense accounts and accrualsWork with members of the accounting team to identify ways to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of financial reporting and assist in initiatives to implement improvementsContribute to month-end close, quarterly review and annual audit processes, including documentation and compliance with SOXPerform special projects as neededQualification:

Bachelor's degree in Accounting or FinanceHas 1+ year experience as a Staff AccountantGreat verbal and written communication skillsOrganized and self-motivatedPossess solid analytical, problem solving and financial troubleshooting skillsAble to quickly learn new systems, processes, procedures and adapt local practices to global standardsA proactive, detail oriented team playerAble to multi-task and succeed in a high energy and fast paced environmentProficient in Microsoft Excel
