What you will do: Collaborates with other senior staff to maintain the Quality Assurance (QA) program to comply with national standards. Evaluation and implementation of new technology and techniques. Maintains templates, checklists and therapy equipment in record and verify system. Provides radiation safety education to staff. It is who we are.Job Description: Ensures safe and accurate radiation delivery and patient safety through the management technical aspects of radiation delivery equipment. Maintains the quality assurance (QA) program and process development in the Department of Radiation Oncology. Provides education and training in radiation physics and supports the oversight of radiation safety and data management in Radiation Oncology. Major Responsibilities 1. Collaborates with other senior staff to maintain the Quality Assurance (QA) program to comply with national standards. Monitors and measures the performance of all radiation therapy equipment. Calibrates radiation therapy equipment and performs QA as required. 2. Evaluation and implementation of new technology and techniques. Ensures proper radiation protection standards are followed when implementing new equipment. Performs acceptance and commissioning of new equipment and educates staff on new technology and its...
