Northwestern State University, Office of University Advancement is currently seeking applicants for the position of Assistant Director of Development for Scholarships
The Assistant Director of Development for Scholarships is responsible for coordinating all activities and daily operations of the NSU Foundation scholarship program, collecting, organizing, and reviewing all NSU Foundation scholarship applications (currently over 1,200 annually); monitoring endowment activity and prepare performance reports for donors; evaluating student eligibility for scholarships and oversee the NSUF scholarship awards committee; meeting regularly with enrollment management, financial aid, and business affairs personnel to review availability, assess need, and ensure compliance; managing over 800 individual scholarship funds and accounts, reconcile investments, financial statements, control accounts (currently over $2M in annual expenditures); and organizing the annual NSU Foundation Scholarship Banquet.
The Assistant Director of Development for Scholarships shall have a minimum three years of experience in account management, customer service and/or fundraising; must be willing to work long hours, evenings, and some weekends; must have experience in database analysis, data management, and customer identification/research; must be goal oriented and readily
report the outcomes of scholarship campaigns and restricted/unrestricted account activity; shall prove ability to multitask, prioritize responsibilities, and work independently as well as part of a team; must be knowledgeable on state entities and endowment funds; and shall meet the required standards defined by Northwestern State University.
Salary: $42,000
