Visit https://www.dignityhealth.org/socal/locations/stbernardinemedical for more information.Responsibilities:The pharmacy intern is responsible for assisting the Pharmacist in medication preparation, compounding, inventory management, and distribution, requiring extreme accuracy and attention to detail. The pharmacy intern has responsibility for assisting with controlled substances management, meeting DEA, FDA, and state regulations, and has access to and manages medication storage areas using pharmacy automation. The pharmacy intern fields and triages calls and questions regarding medication distribution, assisting other caregivers within their scope of practice. The intern will also actively participate in clinical and administrative functions under the direct supervision of a licensed pharmacist to augment their education and to gain insight and practical experience in their future roles as pharmacists.Qualifications:High school diploma or equivalent and Enrolled in or graduate of an accredited school of pharmacy is required.Pharmacy Intern licenseEnrolled in an accredited school of pharmacyBasic computer knowledge
