We are seeking a skilled maintenance machinist to set up and operate a variety of machine tools and maintain production machines, including printing presses. You will apply your expertise in mechanics, shop mathematics, and machining techniques to keep production equipment running smoothly. You'll also diagnose mechanical issues and repair as needed. Responsibilities
Build and repair precision machine parts, including die sets for punch press operations, following technical drawings.Hands-on experience with:
Precision hand tools (calipers, micrometers, drills, taps, dies)Surface grinder operationsBridgeport Mill for drilling, tapping, milling, and boringLathe for drilling, turning, knurling, and boringBand saw, Hydraulic press, MIG welding
Requirements:
Mechanical aptitude to maintain including:
Set-up of punches and buttons in die sets.Die set sharpening and adjustments for proper fit.
Basic electrical knowledge to read and interpret diagrams.Maintain, lubricate, and troubleshoot machine tools and equipment.
The essential functions of this role include:wearing steel toe shoesmanual lifting up to 50lbsstanding for 7 hours at one time
