Columbia , TNAre you a registered dental assistant who is passionate about making a difference in patients' oral health? If so, Cumberland Pediatric Dentistry and Orthodontics is the place for you!We are seeking a skilled Registered Dental Assistant to join our team. As our RDA, you will have the opportunity to perform coronal polishing while building rapport with our young patients.We offer a supportive and collaborative work environment where you can grow and develop your skills while making a positive impact on patients' oral health.Responsibilities:Must be able to work in a pediatric, child friendly environmentReview all hygiene patient charts including; reason and necessity of visit, medical history, and x-ray requirementVerify patient information with parent or guardian, according to HIPAA privacy standardsHave coronal polishing certification - We are able to provide a sealant course!Verify the patient has consent for treatment from parent or guardianAdvise parent or guardian what to expect in the visit and address any concernsCharting all existing/missing teeth, existing restorations, and/or dental proceduresObtaining all x-rays necessary in the best quality possibleMaintaining accurate clinical notes of each visitClean and sterilize all instruments following OSHA and company standards. This includes; scrubbing instruments, packing the instruments and processing them through the statim or autoclave sterilizerMust maintain Dental Assisting License in good standing and complete the CE Credits required by stateQualifications:
